Chandranath Rath, the personal assistant (PA) to BJP leader and West Bengal Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari, was shot dead on the night of Wednesday, May 6, 2026. The incident occurred in the Madhyamgram area of North 24 Parganas District.
