Fraticide by 15 year old Gav Sevak

  

15-year-old boy has been detained in Gujarat for the murder of his elder brother and his pregnant sister-in-law at their home in the Khodiyar Ashram in Shobhavadala village, Junagadh district in Gujarat.

The incident occurred on October 16, 2025, but was uncovered by police around October 31 after the sister-in-law's family in Bihar became suspicious. His mother too is suspected to have assisted him in his crime though not in murdering the victims but in disposing off the corpses. The family is a migrant family from Bihar and mother of the accused had become a sadhvi - a devoted saint after the death of her husband. The accused himself worked as a Gav Sevak in the ashram and earned his livelihood.  He would spend most of his earnings on drugs and drinkings which his deceased elder brother would objected and would take away the money earned from the accused. This had enraged the accused and he hit the deceased with a spade hard on his head. He went on hitting until he was dead. 

Listen to the screams of her husband his sister in law went to the spot. She was pregnant with six months. The accused grabbed her and dragged her inside the room. She pleaded him not to kill her and show mercy as she was pregnant with six months. But he went to rape her instead of showing any remorse for killing his elder brother. She resisted his rape attempts. Enraged he kicked hard with his leg on her stomach which made the baby burst out of the womb and died on the spot. Then he went to kill his sister in law as well. Thereafter he undressed the victims and digging a 5 feet pit dumped the dead bodies in it.

The incident, which resulted in the deaths of the brother and sister-in-law, occurred on October 16, 2025, and was discovered later that month after the sister-in-law's family became suspicious and took help of the local police. The accused and his mother would make excuses when asked about the absence of the victims. Finally the mother said the couple had died in a road accident and that they had performed the last rites and the were to bring the remaining ashes to their village. When inquires were made by the in laws house about the accident it was found to be a lie.

The minor's mother has been arrested in connection with the incident, for allegedly aiding in the burial and destruction of evidence. Police exhumed the bodies as part of the investigation. 

Initial reports suggest a motive related to resentment the boy held towards his elder brother. The family had reportedly resided at the ashram for nearly three decades.
