Dill Raj Gill Murder Case


Dilraj Singh Gill, a 28-year-old Indian-origin man from Vancouver, was shot and killed on January 22, 2026, in Burnaby, British Columbia.

Location: The shooting took place near the 3700 block of Canada Way in Burnaby around 5:30 p.m..
Connection to Crime Scene: Shortly after the shooting, a vehicle was found engulfed in flames in the 5000 block of Buxton Street. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) believe this vehicle is directly connected to the homicide, a tactic often used by organized gangs to destroy evidence.

Victim Profile: Gill was reportedly known to law enforcement and had a history of drug-related convictions, including a trafficking sentence in 2021. 

Investigation and Motive
Gang Conflict: The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is leading the probe. Investigators have stated that the killing appears to be a targeted attack with a "nexus" to the ongoing British Columbia Gang conflict.

Alternate Reports: Some unverified social media reports suggested an altercation involving a car led to the shooting, but official police statements continue to emphasize the gang warfare link.

Current Status: No arrests have been publicly announced in direct connection to this specific shooting as of late January 2026. Authorities are seeking dashcam or CCTV footage from witnesses.

    15-year-old boy has been detained in  Gujarat for the murder of his elder brother and his pregnant sister-in-law at their home in the  Khodiyar Ashram  in Shobhavadala village, Junagadh district in Gujarat.
