Saksahm Tate murder case Nanded



The recent murder case of Saksham Tate occurred in Nanded, Maharashtra, not Nagpur, and has been identified as an alleged "honour killing" related to an inter-caste relationship. The incident gained significant attention after the victim's girlfriend, Aanchal Mamidwar, symbolically "married" his corpse at his funeral. 

Details of the Case:
Victim: Saksham Tate (around 20 years old).

Location: The murder took place in the Juna Ganj area of Nanded.
Date of Incident: Saksham was killed on the evening of Thursday, November 27, 2025.

Alleged Motive: Aanchal's family disapproved of her three-year relationship with Saksham because he belonged to a Scheduled Caste (Dalit) community, while she is from a Special Backward Class.

How the Murder Occurred: Saksham was reportedly confronted by Aanchal's family members and associates. He was shot in the ribs and then bludgeoned on the head with a tile or large stone, killing him instantly. 

Accusations and Arrests
Accused: Aanchal's father, Gajanan Mamidwar, her two brothers (Himesh and Sahil), and several associates have been named as accused. Six people, including the parents and an adult brother, have been arrested.

Aanchal's Actions: Aanchal has publicly condemned her family's actions, demanding the death penalty for her father and brothers. She also performed a symbolic marriage with Saksham's body and declared her intent to live with his family.

Allegations of Police Misconduct: Aanchal has alleged that two police officers at the local police station provoked her brother to kill Saksham when she refused to file a false complaint against him. Authorities have stated these allegations are being investigated. 
The case has been registered under charges of murder, rioting, the Arms Act, and the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. 

According to the media reports, what Aanchal has divulged in front of the media, that her family has never expressed malicious intentions against Saksham Tate. Instead his brothers would take him out on lunch and dinner. Until when her family had asked saksham Tate to convert to Hinduism from Buddhism of he wanted to marry Aanchal which he had readily agreed to. Perhaps her family had hoped Saksham Tate to resist and desist which he didn't. So her fatehr and brothers took the duo to the local police station and had asked Aanchal to file a complaint against Saksham Tate for molestation which she refused to do. Ferocious argument happened at the police station whereupon a police officer suggested to her family to get rid off Saksham Tate by murdering him. And thus the murdered happened.

    15-year-old boy has been detained in  Gujarat for the murder of his elder brother and his pregnant sister-in-law at their home in the  Khodiyar Ashram  in Shobhavadala village, Junagadh district in Gujarat.
