Shabbir Ibrahim Kaskar

Shabbir Ibrahim Kaskar was the elder brother of Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar. Both were sons of a crime branch head constable Ibrahim Kaskar Maniyar. They both began their criminal career together. However because of their links in Bombay police they were protectwd from long hands of law. Also they would provide information about the Pathan Gang to the police. This had infuriated Samad Khan who was nephew of Pathan Gang boss Kareem Lala. Kareem Lala had handed over to Samad Khan the day to day affairs of the Pathan Gang. There used to be frequent clashes between the two gangs. A comprise call was initiated by Haji Mastan Mirza and both the gangs had agreed on a non violent truce. But Samad Khan somehow wanted to eliminate the Kaskar brothers who were gaining ground and growing in size because of tacit support from the police department. Samad Khan assigned Manya Surve the task of killing the brothers. Manya Surve was new in the Bombay underworld and wanted to gain fame and game. Manya Surve killed Shabbir Ibrahim Kaskar on 12 February,1981. 
Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar avowed to avenge the death of his brother and he eliminated Samad Khan, Alam Zaib and Amirzada after getting eliminated Manya Surve in an encounter with Bombay police. Kareem Lala who was spending a retired life once again arrange for a truce between the two rival gangs. This marginlised and subdued the Pathan Gang which had lost their prominent members to the inter gang rivalry. From thence Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar and his gang D-Company assumed prominence.
