Asaram Bapu

Asumal Sirumalani Harpalani known as Asaram Bapu is a self styled Indian godman. Once he was followed and devoted very much in India. So much so that he established more 400 ashrams(hermits), many Gurukul Schools as well as many hospitals all by the means of chairty and donations his religious outfit would receive from his devotees.
He has been accused of rapes and land encroachment and has been sentenced in jail.
He was born on the Pakistan side of undivided India. His parents had migrated to India at partition. He had a habit of fleeing from home. On one such occassion he was ordained as a disciple by one saint of an ashram or hermit. However he didn't give up material life and was married with 2 kids he was declared fake saint by some of religious figures.
He wa later on accused of paedophilia by a few minor girls who had been in his ashrams for treatment through exorcism. He was also accused of black magic when a few kids died at his ashrams called Gurukul.
He was sentenced to life imprisonment by court.

Fraticide by 15 year old Gav Sevak

    15-year-old boy has been detained in  Gujarat for the murder of his elder brother and his pregnant sister-in-law at their home in the  Khodiyar Ashram  in Shobhavadala village, Junagadh district in Gujarat. The incident occurred on October 16, 2025 , but was uncovered by police around October 31 after the sister-in-law's family in Bihar became suspicious.  His mother too is suspected to have assisted him in his crime though not in murdering the victims but in disposing off the corpses. The family is a migrant family from Bihar and mother of the accused had become a sadhvi - a devoted saint after the death of her husband.
