Syed Modi Murder Case

 

Syed Mehdi Hasan Zaidi who was an international badminton champion was murdered on 28 July, 1988 as he emerged from the K. D. Singh Babu Stadium, Lucknow after his routine practice. He was only 26 years of age then. The murder sent shockwaves through India, especially after the police filed murder charges against Modi's wife, Ameeta, and her lover  Sanjay Singh. The duo had later married after the death of Syed Modi.

Sanjay Singh was a royal heir to the Amethi Bhupathi Bhavan, a royal palace, by adoption. He was a common friend of Syed Modi and Ameeta Kulkarni who went to become Ameeta Modi and then Ameeta Singh. Ameeta Kulkarni Modi Singh too was a badminton player and national champion like Syed Modi and their love happened because of their love for the sport. They married at the house of Sanjay Singh despite the objections from their families. 

Sanjay Singh who was already married to Garima Singh and had children was subsdued by his lust and fell for Ameeta Modi who had begun to fall apart from Syed Modi after lure for love had susided. The duo had hatched a malicious plan to eliminate Syed Modi together with a friend Kirti. Her lure for lucre had blinded her otherwise Syed Modi was more handsome and younger to a older Sanjay Singh. As it is said,'Royalty defies loyalty.'

Fraticide by 15 year old Gav Sevak

    15-year-old boy has been detained in  Gujarat for the murder of his elder brother and his pregnant sister-in-law at their home in the  Khodiyar Ashram  in Shobhavadala village, Junagadh district in Gujarat.
