Jia Khan Suicide Case

A special CBI court has acquitted Sooraj Pancholi from charges of abetment of suicide of Jia Khan today Friday, 28 April,2023.
Special CBI court judge AS Sayyad delivered his verdict of no guilty today.
Sooraj Pancholi was accused of abetment of suicide by mother of Jiah Khan Rabia Khan based on a 6 pages letter which is claimed to be written by the late Jiah Khan. Rabia Khan claimed that Jiah Khan was trapped in an abusive relationship with Sooraj Pancholi. And that Sooraj Pancholi would quite often subject Jiah Khan with mental and physical tortures. Which was the cause of her committing the suicide. Rabia Khan had moved the High Court to institute an inquiry into the case by the CBI. The Bombay High Court directed the CBI to investigate the case after going into the details of the case. Rabia Khan who wasn't in India and had arrived after the death of Jiah Khan had alleged in her application that neither the evidences were collected properly nor the investigation was done properly.
Sooraj Pancholi who was sentenced earlier was out of the jail on bail. He is today absolved of the charges of abetment of suicide by the special CBI court judge AS Sayyad.
It will be interesting to see if Rabia Khan goes ahead with filing a reassessment of the verdict application with the Supreme Court of India.

Fraticide by 15 year old Gav Sevak

    15-year-old boy has been detained in  Gujarat for the murder of his elder brother and his pregnant sister-in-law at their home in the  Khodiyar Ashram  in Shobhavadala village, Junagadh district in Gujarat.
