Geeta Chopra, Sanjay Chopra Murder Case

Geeta Chopra and Sanjay Chopra were kids of a high ranking naval officer Madan Mohan Chopra. Geeta Chopra was just 16 years and Sanjay Chopra was only 14 years of age therefore I have avoided posting there images  they being minors.
They were kidnapped by Kuljeet Singh alias Ranga Khus and Jasbir Singh alias Billa for ransom. This case is called Ranga Billa Case.
On Saturday 26 August 1978, Geeta and Sanjay were scheduled to participate in a radio programme called the Yuva Vani on All India Radio. They were to reach the All India Radio office on the Sansad Marg by 7 pm. Their father was supposed to pick them up outside the All India Radio after programme at 9 pm.
The siblings were kidnapped by Ranga Billa duo in a Fiat car bearing number plate HRK 8930. The siblings put a fight against their kidnappers which was noticed by many by passers. They tried to interfere the kidnap bid. Someone tried to to open the door of the car. One of them had put his bicycle in front of the car to stop it. The girl was pulling hair of the driver and the boy was fighting with the man sitting next to the driver. People called to the police but they noted down the car number as MHK 8930. The girl was seen shouting for help and the boy had shown his injured shoulder to an another passerby.
The kidnappers were injured and went to a hospital for the treatment. The hospital to the polilce. Two constables arrived at the hospital. Ranga Billa cooked a story that they got injured because they resisted a robbery attempt. The two constables took the duo to the spot where they claimed the incident had taken place. There wasn't any such indication of struggle. They were using another number plate for the car. The two policemen took the duo to the police station took their statements and asked them to report to the police station. Failing which the police arrived at the address given by the duo in their statements. The address found to be fake.
Their bodies were discovered by a cowherd, Dhani Ram, grazing his cows in Delhi Ridge on 28 August 1978, at 6 pm. The cowherd reported the bodies to a patrolling constable, Rohtas Singh, at 12:00 am. Sub-inspector Hari Chand was sent to the site. The parents were called to the site the identify the bodies. They identified them as their children.
The bodies had multiple stabs and injuries. However sexual assault couldn't be confirmed on Geeta Chopra as the bodies were in the advanced stage of decomposition.
Their photographs were published in news paper by their father. Mr. M. S. Nanda recognised the photos and he gave his statement to the police.
A car with matching description was found with a different number. The car was stolen from outside of the Ashoka Hotel. Many fake number plates were found inside the car.
The double murder had become sensational and was published all over India. The Ranga Billa duo boarded a train on tracks and not from the station for the reason they might get caught after being recognised. The compartment was a reserved compartment for the military. The military men asked the duo for their identity proof. Scuffle followed and one of the military service man recognised the duo. They were overpowered and handed over to the police. The duo were sentenced to death.

    15-year-old boy has been detained in  Gujarat for the murder of his elder brother and his pregnant sister-in-law at their home in the  Khodiyar Ashram  in Shobhavadala village, Junagadh district in Gujarat.
