The recent ₹7.11 crore Bengaluru cash van heist was a well-planned, insider-assisted robbery that was solved within 60 hours by the city police, leading to three arrests and the recovery of most of the stolen money. Heist Details Date and Time: The daylight robbery occurred around midday on November 19, 2025. Location : The incident happened near the Ashoka Pillar area in Jayanagar as the cash van was transporting money from an HDFC Bank branch. Modus Operandi : A gang of 6-8 men in an SUV, posing as officials from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) with a fake government sticker, intercepted the cash van. They convinced the security staff to get into their vehicle for "verification" and forced the van driver to continue driving. The cash boxes were later shifted to the getaway vehicle on the Dairy Circle flyover, and the staff was abandoned.
